Course Description

This class is designed for the user who is new to creating presentations using PowerPoint. Participants will learn how to create a variety of slides that incorporate text, images, and other objects. During class, on-screen slide shows will be discussed and created. The full day format allows sufficient time for discussion and hands-on practice designed to build confidence with the program.

  • Execute commands using the Ribbon, Office button, shortcut menus, and KeyTips
  • Move & customize the Quick Access toolbar
  • Create slides using built-in layouts
  • Add a bulleted list to a slide
  • Use the Autofit options button
  • Move or resize a placeholder
  • Move from slide to slide
  • Change views, order of slides, zoom, and slide layout
  • Duplicate and delete slides
  • Add speaker notes
  • View a slide show
  • Save, close, & open presentations
  • Use the Outline tab
  • Select text and objects
  • Edit, insert, replace, and delete text
  • Use undo, redo, repeat, move, & copy
  • Use the Paste Options button
