Work smarter, not harder!

Excel tip – When you need to move a row of data to a different row without overwriting existing data, this tip makes it quick and easy!

Example: You have a spreadsheet of data that has several columns and rows. You want to move a row up or down within the data without having to insert a row in the new location and without overwriting the existing data.

1. Select the data to be moved.
2. Point to any border of the selection. The mouse pointer changes to a four-headed arrow.
3.  Press [Shift] and drag the selection to the desired location.
