Move Data in an Excel Worksheet Without Replacing Existing Data

Excel tip – When you need to move a row of data to a different row without overwriting existing data, this tip makes it quick and easy!
Example: You have a spreadsheet of data that has several columns and rows. You want to move a row up or down within the data without having to insert a row in the new location and without overwriting the existing data.
Select the data to be moved.
Point to any border of the selection. The mouse pointer changes to a four-headed arrow.
Press [Shift] and drag the selection to the desired location.
