Create a Quick Excel Chart

Work smarter, not harder!

Excel tip – Create a chart on a separate worksheet with a simple keystroke!

Example: You have data in Excel you would like to illustrate in a chart. Charts are great, but sometimes take a long time to create. With this tip you can create a chart using a single keystroke!

  1. Select the range of cells to be included in the chart. Include text that will be used as labels. To select nonadjacent ranges, select the first range, then press [Ctrl] + select additional ranges as desired.
  2. Press [F11]. A chart is created on a new worksheet tab.
